Diigo offers a clean and concise way to manage resources gathered for a research project or for compiling tools and websites that can help further a persons education after school. This helpful extension didn't teach me too many new skills as much as it opened the door for me to exercise skills I already have. It's a great way to manage a wide range of resources even if the topics differ with the use of their tagging function. Diigo also allows for collaboration in the resource gathering process which would be a great tool when doing a group project at work or school. Teachers could use Diigo to guide their students in their research process because the extension has the capability of sharing specific pages that will be used for an assignment. Joining a group that has already collected resources on a specific topic would be a fast and easy way to expose oneself to needed information.

At the recall level I could use PowerPoint to create a game such as Jeopardy or other trivia formats that would test the students remembrance of certain facts. When supporting the understanding level it would be best to make a PowerPoint lesson in which I have the students explain the concepts to me in a fluid manner. For the apply level I would include portions within the PowerPoint to have students brainstorm practical ways to solve a current problem using the information from the lessons. In a class focused on the analyze level I would have the students come to class with different topics within the subject being taught. Then include them in a PowerPoint that we would use to discuss ways the differing topics could relate. To stress the evaluate level of Bloom's Taxonomy I would develop a PowerPoint that had topics of my choice which the students would support or critique in groups. For the final level I would have the students group up in six groups to create their own PowerPoint on each level of the taxonomy.

Teachers are required to stay ahead of the curve and keep the information they teach of the highest quality. The world is constantly evolving and the information available is changing and growing as well. Technology is an especially quickly evolving part of the education process. If teachers aren't prepared to embrace the emerging technologies their classrooms will fall behind more advanced ones. ISTE, or International Society for Technology in Education, is a non-profit organization that covers an extensive range of burgeoning technologies and new information. While most of the services they offer cost money to access they are a well reviewed source of pertinent information.
